Dear Faith Family,
It’s hard to believe that it has been almost exactly a year since COVID-19 protocols were put into place in Texas. I am so grateful for the progress that has been made in the fight against this virus. I continue to pray for God’s provision and protection in the days ahead.
As you may know, Governor Greg Abbott has announced that Texas will completely open businesses and lift the mask mandate on Wednesday, March 10. He has encouraged Texans to be wise and to make this “a matter of personal responsibility rather than a government mandate.”
I want to thank you for all that you have done to make our campus safe. I know that it has not always been comfortable or convenient to wear a mask or social distance, but you have done an amazing job. I have heard from many members and guests who have been able to return to our ministries because of the safety protocols we have put into place.
Our plan moving forward is to continue to encourage our faith family to follow the same COVID protocols that we put into place in the fall. We will continue to provide environments that are physically distanced and will continue to encourage the wearing of masks. You’ve been so gracious to respect the needs of others over the past year and hopefully we are turning a corner with this virus.
This week is the beginning of spring break for many of our school districts. Our children and youth will meet for normal Sunday night activities this week (March 7), but we will have an adjusted ministry schedule for the remainder of the week.
Wednesday, March 10 - No Midweek Activities (No Adult Zoom Bible Study or Youth Activities)
Sunday, March 14 - Normal morning schedule, but no children or youth activities in the evening.
I’m excited to continue in our journey through the Gospel of Mark this week. I’ve asked Rob Hartland to preach this Sunday (March 7) and look forward to our time together in the Word!
Blessings!
Pastor Chris
PS - Mark your calendars for our next Member's Meeting/Quarterly Business Meeting: Sunday, March 21 @ 4 PM in the HUB.
