Sunday School for children aged 2 1/2 and up offered in the Chapel during worship weekly except for first Sundays. Children join parents for Communion. Please also join us downstairs after worship for conversation and refreshments!
As we celebrate the season of Christ's birth, many of us have cherished Christmas rituals or objects particular to our family (alongside the special traditions of St. Saviour's). Pictured above is a nativity scene from El Salvador beloved in the Finnerud household and displayed throughout the year as a reminder of the light and hope and joy of Christ each day in our lives. Please send us your photos and stories of your family traditions to create a montage of our parish family. You may click here to email them to us, place them in the collection plate or mail them to the parish office.
Join us next Sunday, January 6th , when we celebrate Epiphany Day and the three kings who brought gifts to the baby Jesus, the long awaited Messiah. Wonderfully, Epiphany Day and Orthodox Christmas fall together on the Sunday and remind us that diverse traditions in God's Church actually have one common purpose: to acknowledge Jesus' birth as the light of the world and the basis of our faith. Know that our Egyptian Orthodox Coptic Christian brethren are literally next to us as the new owners of the former property of Christ the Healer Episcopal Church in Stamford. Enjoy (again) this portion of our wonderful Silent Night dance on Advent III! Thank you to the company of our parish dance school who inspired us so wonderfully and to Mr. Scott, the choreographer of the beautiful dance!
Thank you so much for those of you who have returned a pledge card to the church! We are very grateful. Please know that you make our future possible. For those who have not yet pledged, please consider doing so in the coming weeks as we use pledges to plan and rely on them to operate as a going concern. While we (wonderfully) operate two schools, our congregation makes the schools possible. Pledge cards are available in the church narthex and the parish office now and throughout the year. Please also feel free to consult with any member of the parish Vestry to answer questions or concerns you may have about parish operations.
Please note the annual meeting of our parish is currently scheduled for January 27, 2020 after the 10:00 am worship for the voting members of our congregation. If you are interested in knowing your status, please be in touch with the parish office. Blessings to you and your family in this Christmas season and as the New Year comes!
