Beloved in the Lord,
Christ is in our midst!
This week has been a blessed and somewhat more relaxed beginning after the very busy events of Glendi. Again, many thanks to all who made that herculean effort a reality! My office is taking shape, I am meeting with ministry leaders to learn about the community, and I am looking at potential homes in the Manchester area. As things calm down over the next few weeks (God willing!), I will try to take a regular weekday away from the ministry to attend to my personal obligations and wellbeing, but in the meantime, I ask for your patience! Please don't hesitate to pop in to say hello if you're visiting the church office, but if you would like to have a more dedicated conversation, I ask that you schedule an appointment with me directly, so I can guarantee my full attention.
You can reach me by email at frnicholas@stgeorgenh.org or on my cell phone at 603-232-5400. As I mentioned in a prior message, I would love to share a cup of coffee, a meal, or go for a walk as we get to know each other, so please reach out!
This Sunday is my first leading services at St. George and I am very much looking forward to it! In addition to Sunday School beginning this week, I will also offer a Children's Sermon and the Blessing of the Backpacks just before the Lord's Prayer. Please make sure to come early to be a part of the divine services.
Remember to register your children for Sunday School! Click here for the registration form. We hope to see all the children of our parish involved in our Sunday School Ministry and we need your help! Many thanks to Athena Moutsioulis Bevan for all her years of dedicated leadership and our volunteer teachers! If you would like to help with Sunday School, we welcome your involvement. Email Athena at sundayschool@stgeorgenh.org with any questions or to volunteer your time.
Next Sunday, October 4, is Church Musicians Sunday! Please join us that day in thanking them for their service, and consider joining them in making a joyful noise unto the Lord!
God bless us all,
Fr. Nicholas
