Pastor's Note

Friends,

It was a real treat to gather at Bethel Lutheran for our All-Church Picnic on Saturday. We shared great food, wonderful fellowship, and a beautiful day together! I know we are all grateful for the many hands that helped make the picnic possible, and I am especially grateful to our friends at Bethel for welcoming us and sharing their beautiful campus with us.

I will be away from Thursday through Sunday this week to attend the Earthkeepers training program in Atlanta. Earthkeepers is a training focused on environmental justice and creation care, organized by the United Methodist General Board of Global Ministries. I am looking forward to this time of learning, discerning, and networking with fellow United Methodists who are sensing a call to be in better relationship with all creation.

This coming Sunday is both World Communion Sunday and St. Francis Sunday, making our guest preacher a particularly fitting person to help us conclude our Season of Creation worship series. The Rev. Sharon Delgado will share a message shaped by her faith and ministry as a creation advocate. I am sad I will miss her but I trust that you all will be blessed by her inspiring words.

Peace,

Pastor Angel
