Making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world by following Jesus, thriving in community, and healing the world.

QUICK LINKS

Pastor's Note

Friends,

Tomorrow, in the life of the Christian year, we observe Three Kings Day, also known as Epiphany—the day we remember the Magi who journeyed from afar, following a star, in search of the newborn King. Their story reminds us that Christ came not for a few, but for all, and that faith often calls us to step out in trust—especially when the stakes are high.

Guided by God’s light, the Magi ultimately chose to obey God rather than the demands of earthly power, returning home by another road. In that moment of courageous disobedience, they revealed that allegiance to divine truth, peace, and justice outweighs submission to orders grounded in fear and domination.

In our own time, many around the world are living with tension between earthly powers and the call to peace, justice, and human dignity.

As we move beyond Christmas, Epiphany invites us to ask: Where is God leading us now, and how will we respond? May we, like the Magi, have the courage to follow God’s way, to bow before the Christ who calls us into life abundant, and to offer our very best as we continue to follow and reflect the Light of Christ.

Peace,

Coming Soon - Pastor's Book Club for the Season of Lent

Join Pastor Angel for a Lenten book discussion of When Did We See You?: A Lenten Exploration of Poverty and Wealth by Elizabeth Mae Magill. Meetings will be held Tuesdays at 6:00 p.m. via Zoom, beginning February 24.

ABOUT THE BOOK:
In
When Did We See You?, Magill invites us into an honest conversation about faith, money, and community, posing hard questions about poverty, wealth, and what it means to follow Jesus in an economically divided world. With candor, grace, and deep pastoral insight, Magill wrestles with her own material privilege and encourages us to do the same. Grounded in scripture and the author's own life and experience, this study explores how wealth shapes our relationship with God and neighbor and calls us back to Christ's radical way of love, justice, and solidarity with the poor.
