Dear First Church Family and Friends -
Allan Peck died on Thursday, May 14. A funeral mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 410 W. Lorain St., Oberlin on Monday, June 1st, at 10:30 AM internment at Westwood Cemetery will occur at a later date. A reception at First Church will follow later that same day from 3:30 - 6:00 PM. All are welcome. During this time of grief and loss, please remember Alan's family in your prayers, particularly his wife, Nancy, and his daughter, Kathy Perales.
| O God, who heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds; look in tender pity and compassion upon your servants whose joy has been turned into mourning. Leave them not comfortless, but grant that they may be drawn closer to you and one another in their common sorrow. Fill their souls with the light and comfort of your presence. So dwell with them and be their God, until the day breaks and the shadows flee away. Amen. | | | |

Call for Help
An Oberlin resident is in need of a kidney transplant. The Cleveland Clinic kidney transplant team asked her to reach out to see if anyone might be willing to donate a kidney, It is not necessary to be a specific match for the person in whose name a kidney is donated. If you might be interested and want to learn more, please call 440-775-0036. This is understandably a huge request, for which the neighbor would be immensely grateful.
