Much help is needed to redistribute items and furniture back into the rooms at First Church now that construction is near completion. There are tasks for all ages and skill levels. Help is also needed by each committee to evaluate items for sorting and saving. Please wear your mask! Thank you in advance!
I am looking for a few volunteers to help in the office on an 'as needed' basis. Times will most often be scheduled on Fridays, either between 10am-noon, or 1:30-3:30pm. I will also be present in the office. I have put dates on the First Church calendar through March, that are waiting for folks to choose from. Most tasks will consist of filing, answering the phone, helping with mailings, and a few other items. If you are interested, check out the calendar by using the link at the bottom of the enews and then EMAIL me to let me know what date and time you would like to help with. Thank you! - Diana Pierson
Our Sunday School curriculum this Winter and Spring will be focusing on the stories of our ancestors in the Old Testament. This week's activities are about Adam and Eve.

We understand that our current Sunday School schedule and format may not work for every family. If you would like to pursue faith activities at home with your kids, we invite you to explore this free resource from Illustrated Ministry, which will tie in with the Worship readings for each week. This week's topic is the Baptism of the Lord.

Good Housekeeping!
Just a friendly reminder to former committee members and folks in general to be mindful of confidential papers that you may have in your home. Sometimes at the new year, we clean out our homes, offices, etc. and begin to 'de-clutter'. It may be a good time to take a look and see if you have any old Executive Council documents, reports, committee documents, and other items that may need to be shredded or thrown away.
We wanted to give a shout-out to all of the wonderful performers in this December's Christmas pageant - as well as to all the other people who made the production possible. Click the link below for a "program" giving credit where credit is due!

OFFICE CLOSED

The church office will be closed on Monday, January 18th in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
First Church Book Group

The Book Group is reading and discussing The Wright Brothers, by McCullough. Please contact Marci Peterson if you need help obtaining a copy.

Book Group meets each Tuesday at 4pm via Zoom. Please call Marci Peterson at (440) 774-3118 to receive the Zoom invitation or if you have questions. All are welcome.
The Regular Meeting of the Congregation will look different in 2021. The Executive Council is working out details for a Financial Presentation following the worship service on Sunday, January 24th. Returnable paper ballots will be prepared and mailed to all members. The report will be distributed electronically and hard copies will also be made available on January 22nd. Thank you for your patience and participation. Please stay tuned for further information!
