Worship Resources
Sunday, May 24th @ 10am
Sunday morning worship will begin at 10am. The stream will start a few minutes early so you can prepare for worship. Just click on the Facebook page link below and make sure you can see the "Videos" section of the page.
Children's Church and Faith Formation Resources:

In this Sunday's Children's Church resource, we talk about Paul's speech in Athens about "the Unknown God." The Greeks in Athens worshipped so many different gods - could they learn to focus on just one God? Can we turn from the many things that call for our attention, and focus on what really matters?

Our Faith Formation Resource is a tribute to this weekend's Virtual Camp Sunday. You are invited to celebrate God OUTSIDE this week!

(Feel free to pray that it stays warm, while you're out there!)
Strengthen the Church grants create a faith home for seekers in Texas, California communities

Two United Church of Christ congregations in two very different communities have something in common: each is a faith home to people who thought they'd never find one again.

Ministerio Latino UCC  in eclectic Oakland, Calif., offers a special welcome to LGBTQ people rejected by their Latinx churches of origin – some of them recent arrivals in immigrant caravans.

Your donations help support these grants and other works of the UCC. To donate, click on the DONATE ONLINE button to the left, or scan the QR CODE. You can designate the funds specifically for this offering.
Announcements and Events
Heartland Conference - Announcement regarding Summer Camp
Dear Campers, Families, Volunteers and staff members,

We hope this letter finds you safe and well in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.

As you may know the Heartland Conference Outdoor Ministry team and Conference Board of Directors have been monitoring the current COVID 19 situation closely, exploring possible solutions, and praying for discernment on how to best provide you with Summer Camp 2020.

At this time, we would like to share with you the decision to not hold on-site summer resident camp at Templed Hills, but instead offer Virtual Summer Camp 2020 2.0 (online and by mail).

Turn it Up!

Brighten someone’s day!

During these challenging times, members of Witness and Membership are trying to be in contact with friends of First Church who may be feeling lonely or isolated. We’d like to invite you to pick up the phone or a pen and a paper and brighten the day of a First Church Friend. You don’t have to be a member of a committee, just have an interest in people.

Please join us! Everyone likes to hear from a friend.

Don't forget to use your First Church Mobile Directory APP for the most recent contact information for members and friends. You can also pick up a printed directory from the church office. Just email or call Diana, M-F from 9am until noon or 1pm-4pm and she can help with either of these items.

Diana will be out of the office, Wednesday, June 3 through Friday, June 6. The office will be monitored by David and Jen throughout the day, however, it will not be staffed with a volunteer.

If you have any Zoom meetings that you need scheduled between June 1st and June 10th, please call the office and Diana will get them scheduled for you ahead of time.

Also, if you have any other church business that you may need done during that time, please call or email and we will take care of your needs ahead of time. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
