225+2 Years - A Beginning

Our celebration year has finally arrived, and the 225+2 Anniversary Celebration Committee reminds you to mark your calendars for Wednesday, March 30, to Sunday, April 3, and join us in preparing for this special season in the life of our church. Sinclair Ferguson and Robert Godfrey will be joining us over the five-day celebration. In the coming weeks, the 225+2 Anniversary Celebration Committee will begin to share more details of the festivities. But, for now, get ready for an ice cream social, a golf tournament, a music concert and reception, a lecture series, a “question and answer” luncheon with Dr. Ferguson and Dr. Godfrey, a special churchyard tour, a sanctuary tour, a visit to the Ronald Miller Memorial Music Library and the Frank C. Hill Mission Center, a church-wide celebration on the grounds with live music, fun games for all, plenty of food and food trucks, and a tented birthday party with birthday cake.

Be watching the E-Boards around the campus, reading First Things, checking the church app and website (www.firstprescolumbia.org/225) for the specifics of what is to come.

The events being planned will honor our legacy, will share the work of our current ministries, and will set the stage for preserving and expanding these ministries during the next 25 years. They will showcase our past, present, and future. They will engage our entire congregation – young and old alike. There will be many opportunities for you to volunteer your time and talents to help us with event activities. You will soon be able to do this by signing up on the website or app, or by contacting any committee member.
