Gen2Gen Capital Campaign Update

Dear Fellow Members of First Presbyterian Church,

I wanted to inform you of the status of the Gen2Gen Capital Campaign that we embarked on in 2015. As you may recall, the campaign had the goal of raising enough money to pay for The Bridge over a five-year period, which would be ending at the end of this year, 2020. Our church has been faithful in its commitment to get this done so far; we now need to “finish the race.” As of now, the outstanding loan balance to pay off The Bridge is $800,000. We currently have approximately $500,000 in outstanding pledges made in 2015. As you can see, there is a difference of about $300,000 to meet our goal of paying off The Bridge in five years, assuming everyone pays their pledge in full this year. How could we get the difference?

  • Everyone pays the pledge they made to the Gen2Gen Campaign.
  • If you made a one-time gift, would you consider another gift toward the campaign?
  • If you are new to the church, would you consider making a gift?
  • If you were not able to make a pledge back in 2015, would you consider making a gift now?

We are convinced that we can meet our goal this year of paying off the note. As we have stated before, the church budget includes money that goes toward the loan. If we can pay the note off this year, we will free up this money for other ministries of our church – which would be a huge blessing for the Kingdom. The Bridge has been a tremendous success for our church in so many ways, and the fruits of this investment have been harvested ever since we opened the doors – and will certainly continue to be a blessing for many years to come. Please prayerfully consider making a gift if you are able. Lord willing, we will meet our goal by the end of this year.

In Christ,
The Gen2Gen Capital Campaign Committee
