2020 Women’s Conference

Spent. Anxious. Over it. Concerned. Ready for Jesus to return. Do these feelings sound familiar? These were responses from friends to my question, “How do you think women are doing right now?” It is easy to feel depleted these days. Whether you are working from home, looking for a job that is hard to find, trying to figure out how to educate your children in a pandemic, or concerned for the future of our country, the cares of the world loom large.

Ladies, let me invite you to join us for a time of refreshment. Coming up on November 6 and 7, Abby Hutto, the Director of Spiritual Formation at Story Presbyterian Church in Westerville, Ohio, will be teaching us about three different women in the Bible who went through hard times. She will show us how God met these women and how their lives changed because of their relationships with Him. We will meet Friday evening (with dessert following the teaching) and Saturday morning. The conference will also be live-streamed for those who prefer to attend virtually.

Abby is also the author of God for Us: Discovering the Heart of the Father through the Life of the Son, and her book is available at The Bridge if you would like to read it in advance of the conference. Registration is available on the church app and the website or click on the graphic below; please register regardless of your plans to attend in person or virtually. Cost of the conference is $5.00, and scholarships are available. I hope you will join us!

Thanksgiving for Missions

All women are invited to the 2020 Thanksgiving for Missions event, He Will Be Exalted Among the Nations, to be held on Tuesday, October 20, at 6:00 p.m. in the Family Life Center. This will be both a socially distanced in-person and virtual event. The speaker will be our own Maxine Gross with Global Network International.

Come fellowship with your sisters, enjoy international flavors, and learn what the Lord is doing around the world! An offering will be collected for gifts for our missionaries. The cost is $10.00.

If you would like to join virtually but not miss out on the food, please indicate on your registration form. Details will be sent to you.

Sign up on the church app, website, or at your circle. Sign-up deadline is Friday, October 16.
