Dear Fall City Families,

Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year! While this new school year is starting out differently than any of us would have wished, we are excited to begin a new year of learning with our Falcon Family.

Over the summer, you have received multiple communications from our district as plans have evolved. We are entering a new school year unlike any previous year. With that, I want to acknowledge the range of emotions many are experiencing, including fear, excitement, frustration, anticipation, and worry. Please know our staff has and will continue to work toward improving our remote instruction to meet the needs of every single student. We do have parameters that are required, but will extend grace and flexibility to the best of our abilities as we partner with your family.

Positive relationships are the foundation of academic success, both with your child and with you. When school closed last spring, teachers leveraged the relationships they had already established with their students to promote learning. As we start a new school year in our 100% online setting, it will naturally be challenging for teachers, students, and families who are new to each other to form these relationships. We also recognize that there is a lot of uncertainty and anxiety around the upcoming school year.

To help set our students up for success and closely partner with families, the focus for the first four days of school will be to build relationships and orient students and families with online learning tools. You and your child will have the opportunity to connect with your child's remote learning teacher in a virtual Meet the Teacher meeting, prior to the start of our Distance Learning 2.0 schedules, as well as a drive-through pickup of essential materials and other student and parent engagement opportunities.

Scheduling Your Meeting

Class assignments will be announced on Friday, August 28, at 8:00 am; anytime after that, you are invited to schedule your meeting through Family Access. Detailed directions about how to sign up through Family Access can be found
