School Starts August 24

It is that time of year again. School is set to begin on August 24. Staff, teachers and students are preparing to go back to school in all of the usual ways, but we all know that this year is going to look and feel different for everyone. While we are still continuing with our annual school supply drive we are also preparing a small token of appreciation and encouragement for our teachers and staff at our own Weekday School, Children’s Day Out, Child Enrichment Center as well as Tilles, Darby and Northside. One of the most important things that we can do for the staff, teachers and students is to pray. This year more than ever they are going to need our prayers. Please see the information about our Encouragement Bags and include a note of prayer and encouragement. These will be distributed to our   teachers on the first day of school. I am challenging each family to make 10-15 bags as you are able. Thank you! Our goal is to make 400+ bags in the next 2 weeks. Are you ready for the challenge? If you have any questions, please call Elizabeth Thames in the church office, 782-5068 or email ethames@fsfumc.org.

If you have a small group or group that would like to begin meeting again - groups of 10 can begin meeting on campus. Individuals are required to wear masks for the entirety of the meeting time.
