Dear Global Christian Warriors,

Christmas, even if we have the wrong date, is all about the Birth of Christ Jesus/ Yeshua the Messiah. My friend, Deb, has found that He is revealed in the first word of the Bible! Enjoy this "CHRIST-mas" present from NDR:

In the Beginning was the Word

The very first word in Genesis 1:1 in Hebrew is “Beresheit.” It means “In the beginning.”
In the beginning [Beresheit] God created the heavens and the earth. ~ Genesis 1:1
If we spell out the word “Beresheit” into Hebrew Letters, it looks like this:
בראשית
All 22 letters of the Hebrew Alphabet are derived from an original ancient pictograph.  Each of these “hieroglyphs” were found in ancient times long before Christ walked on the planet. Over time, these letters evolved to form various written languages. For instance, the very word ALPHABET comes from the Hebrew letter ALEPH (A) and BET (B).
Let’s “spell” it out (pardon the pun!):
Bet (B), Resh, (R), Aleph (A), Shin (SH), Yod (Y), Tav (T)
ב B (Bet)
ר R (Resh)
א A (Aleph)
ש SH (Shin) which is an “S” letter in Hebrew slightly different from a more simple “S” (Samehk)
י Y (Yod)
ת T (Tav)

To see the pictorial meaning of each letter, these are the Hebrew letters of the word “Beresheit” (In the beginning) from an ancient hieroglyph standpoint:

Bet (B) ancient hieroglyph = HOUSE

Resh (R) ancient hieroglyph = MAN’S HEAD

Aleph (A) ancient hieroglyph = OX or LAMB (sacrificial animal)

Shin (SH) ancient hieroglyph = Teeth, Power

Yod (Y) hieroglyph = Arm, Outstretched

Tav (T) hieroglyph = Mark, Cross

Now, let’s take all these ancient symbols and put them together in a sentence:
House Headed by the Son of Man, a Sacrifice with Power (with teeth), Arm Outstretched marked on the Cross.

Thus, God gave us the gospel message of Salvation in the VERY FIRST WORD of the Bible!

Let’s dig a little deeper!
ב B (Bet) = House (Bet)
בר BR (add the letter Resh) = Son (Bar)
Let’s pause here. THE FIRST TWO LETTERS in Genesis 1:1 spell “SON” in Hebrew! The word “Bar” in Hebrew means SON. You would probably recognize this from the typical, well-known Jewish parent’s celebration of their son’s “Bar (son) Mitzvah” which indicates their son’s public acknowledgement of the Torah/Law. So, amazingly, it only takes TWO LETTERS in order for us to find Jesus in Genesis 1:1! Amazing.
But let’s keep going!
ברא BRA (adding the letter Aleph) = created (Bara). Bara (depending on the pronunciation) can mean “create” or “choose.”
Aleph's meaning is found in Jeremiah 11:19. Remember the Aleph pictorial is a sacrificial animal.
But I was like a lamb or an ox that is brought to the slaughter. ~Jeremiah 11:19
So, thus far, we have “SON, chosen Lamb sacrifice.” IN JUST THE FIRST THREE LETTERS!
But let’s keep going!
בראש
 bə·rōš
Englishman's Concordance
bə·rōš — 35 Occurrences
HEB: בְּרֹ֣אשׁ
NAS: fire on the mountain top.
KJV: fire on the top of the mount
INT: fire A consuming top the mountain the eyes

“SON, chosen Lamb sacrifice from on high, from the top.” FOUND IN JUST THE FIRST FOUR LETTERS!
But let’s keep going!
BRA(SH)Y (adding Yod) = בראשי
Means “from my Head”

“SON, chosen Lamb sacrifice from on high, from the top, from My Head” (The Godhead)
For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity dwells in bodily form.
~Colossians 2:9

Jesus found in the first FIVE LETTERS of Genesis 1:1!
But let’s keep going!
בראשית
BRA’SH’YT = Beresheit (adding the letter Tav which means Cross)
“SON, chosen Lamb sacrifice from on high, from the top, from My Head” (The Godhead) marked on The Cross.”
So, in one single word, the very first word of Genesis, the very first word of Holy Scripture…God tells us that He already created the plan of Salvation from the beginning.
WOW! All this is just the very first word of Holy Scripture! In just TWO LETTERS (the Son is identified) and in JUST THE FIRST WORD (the Plan of Salvation is laid out)!
Now look at this! Where do we find “In the beginning” again in a 1:1 verse in the Bible? The New Testament!
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
~John 1:1

Who is “The Word?”
The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the one and only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.
~ John 1:14

We are OVERCOMERS because He overcame from the beginning to the end.
