Your Weekly SU News Feed!
You've been admitted to SU. You've deposited and enrolled. Now what?!
The Office of First-Year Experience & the Office of Residence Life will share these weekly news feeds to answer all the questions you didn't even know you had!

To supplement your Incoming Student Checklist, we'll provide you reminders of deadlines, form completion, and introduce you to the SU community one week at a time.
Room Options in First-Year Halls
We also have triples. Our triples vary in size and characteristics based on building and room location. You can save money on this option as well as get a provided fridge and microwave.
There are multiple room types in our first year area that students will live in. We have singles available either upon request or if needed for an accommodation. These singles are in three of our four first year halls. Our most common type of room is our standard double room. Two students live in these spaces in four of four first year halls.
Finally we have our quads. Three of our four first year halls have this option, it is a cost saver and has two fridges and microwaves provided. The quad spaces are also much larger than any of our other rooms on campus. In upcoming editions you will get the opportunity to see the different styles of rooms as they are in the halls.
Charlie's Coffeehouse
This student-run coffeehouse, located in the lower level of Degenstein Campus Center by Hawk's Nest, organizes student events and activities each week throughout the semester. Programs include movie nights, bingo nights, Monday wing nights, student performers, and much more! Professional performers and student organizations are often invited to be featured as well. Charlie's coffee bar serves chai, tea, coffee, lattes, milkshakes, food on food nights, and many other drinks. Stop by Charlie's any evening and Friday afternoons during the school year. Gather on Sunday afternoons to watch any NFL game on one of the televisions in Charlie's.
Any first year student who follows Charlie's Coffeehouse Instagram page during the month of August will be entered into a drawing for a free Charlie's T-Shirt!
Discover Selinsgrove
Half a mile walk from campus lies beautiful Selinsgrove, PA. Home to a large selection of shops and eateries, the Selinsgrove Speedway, and adjacent to the Isle of Que, Selinsgrove provides recreation activities as well as year round enjoyment in a historic setting. Enjoy the Farmer's Market on Saturdays and take a walk down to the Isle of Que to hang out by the river!
