Sunday Schedule for February 1st

Before worship:

8:15 a.m.: Nursery opens for 0-5

9:30 a.m.: Joyful Noise and Faith Singers rehearsal in Chapel


During worship:

-Early Schoolers may go to the nursery or stay through worship. Families are encouraged to do what's best for themselves.

-Children and youth will stay through worship. There will be activity bags in the Narthex for children to take with them to their pews.


After worship:

All are invited to "Dancing Dinosaurs and Other Protest Readiness" in Plymouth Hall! See the announcement below for more information.

Joyful Noise and Faith Singer Rehearsal!

Sundays at 9:30 a.m. | Chapel

This Sunday, February 1st, meet at 9:30 a.m. in the chapel for choir rehearsal! With Zachariah and Christine, both choirs will rehearse their song for worship.


Joyful Noise and Faith Singers are open and inclusive choirs who welcome all singers regardless of ability and experience. Let's sing together!

Dancing Dinosaurs and Other Protest Readiness

Sunday, 2/1 11:45 a.m. Plymouth Hall and Broadway

Be prepared for your next (or first) protest! Laura Riihimaki will teach us activities to make noise and have fun, building solidarity amongst the protestors. Don a dinosaur suit (provided) and learn the FCC original Morrison Formation Dino Dance or practice to be part of the kazoo, cowbell, and bucket drum band. Hope, after all, can be joyful and loud! If you happen to have a dinosaur costume in your closet, bring it! We also welcome frogs, unicorns, and other joyful creatures.

Mission Trip Meeting

Sunday, 2/8, 11:45 a.m.-12:15 p.m. | Heritage Room

Attention all high schoolers! You (and a parent) are invited to an interest meeting about this year's mission trip on Sunday, February 8th after worship. We'll have some gourmet donuts and talk about the who/what/where/when/why of our mission trip. Spoiler alert: we're going to Kansas City, MO for a hands-on service-learning trip of Justice 101! Youth Ice Skating

Sunday, 2/8, 2:00-4:00 p.m. | Roosevelt Park at 725 8th Ave, Longmont

All youth grades 6-12 are invited to shred some ice at the Longmont Ice Pavillion. We’ll have some cocoa to warm up and encouraging words for all regardless of ability to balance on skates. Meet up at this outdoor ice-skating rink in Longmont for some chilly winter fun! 

Family Lenten Kits

Starting 2/8 | Narthex

How does your family celebrate Lent? This year, we have prepared Lenten kits to help support families as they prepare their hearts for Easter. These kits include devotional materials and activities for all ages. They can be picked up in the Narthex starting on February 8th. If you would prefer to have a kit brought to your house, please let Lianna know at lianna@firstcong.net.

ARTS Camp Registration Open!
