This past Sunday was the kick-off of our 175th Anniversary as a church. If you missed the festivities, check out our Facebook page to see pictures, watch the video below, or download Volume 1 of our quarterly magazine. And don't worry, Sunday was just the beginning of a year-long celebration. We will look to the past with thanksgiving and look to the future with hope.

Throughout the year, we'll have events for the whole family from a Women's Tea with Joan Cronan to a family scavenger hunt. Click the button below to check out the entire list of 175th events for the year.
Click the video to watch the first installment of our Becoming the People of God Documentary Series: The Beginning. You'll hear from George Schweitzer about our foundations as a church, as well as Tom Ogburn, Mason Thornton, Maloree Smith, and Laura Beth Myers on a look into our future.
This year, we want to tell even more of your stories. We started a blog last May as an avenue to do just that. Now we want to take the next step.

Your Story
Do you have a story that needs to be told? A moment God spoke to you in the darkness? An experience you had volunteering? An impacting organization you're part of? We would love to tell it. As you've seen on our blog over the last year, we love to tell stories, and we believe our church benefits from hearing them.

For Writers
If you're a writer and would like to write guest posts for our blog, we'd love to feature you. We have featured interest pieces, history articles, testimonies, and original poetry from church members across the life of First Baptist. Would you like to showcase your work? Or if you simply love writing, we can provide you with topics.
