Agua Negra

Week 1

A new season has begun, and the levels of the rivers are very promising. Most of the rivers have a very good water level, which favors the migrations of both sábalo and dorado.

The first week of the season gave us the chance to fish with four old friends from the USA: Steven, Rick, Murph, and Jerry.

The weather was not very favorable as at the beginning of the week a cold front arrived from the south and made things a little difficult. Despite the weather fishing was quite good, and our guests managed to catch four medium-sized dorados, more than ten small ones, and a good-sized pacú.

Most of the fish were caught in the main Sécure River since the tributaries were very cold with the change of temperature at the beginning of the week, but conditions improved through the second half of the week. Schools of sábalo and dorado are coming upstream along the Secure River, so we hope to have very good fishing in the upcoming weeks.
