Heli Fishing

Week 9

In the ninth week of the helifishing program, we had the honor of hosting David, Rob, and Chris from the United States, Emily from Canada, and the Vikings Oli and María from Iceland, with whom we shared the immensity of the untouched jungle. We started the week with an excellent day of fishing, then during the night it rained a lot in the mountains and the rivers woke up blown. Luckily, we had the advantage of having the helicopter to search for clear, fishable waters. We took full advantage and had a very good week, where everyone has enjoyed the benefits of our program.

 Secure

Week 15

We shared the fifteenth chapter of the season at Sécure Lodge with a great team of people, including five fishermen from the USA and another from Germany, all of them very competent anglers.

The weather was very warm both in the air and in the water; conditions which gave everyone many chances with pacú. The week was unique for the season, as at least one black plate was stranded on the beach for each client, so everybody got pacú ranging from 12 to 17 pounds.

The lower section showed a lot of action fishing with top water flies, such as Maniquicito Creek, where a marvelous 16-pound dorado was landed using a foam pattern. The upper section allowed connection with the three sport species—dorado, pacú, and yatorana—and everybody got the best of the game, playing the challenge of hunting on crystal-clear waters and sight-fishing opportunities.

The biggest fish of the week was a 18-pound dorado.

 Pluma

Week 15

In the fifteenth week of the season here at Pluma Lodge, we’ve been honored with the presence of an excellent group of “good vibes” and very good anglers from the States led by the very experienced host Grant, who made the week very easy for us. Despite the oppressive heat and conditions that made the fishing very technical, everyone was able to land his good dorado and some pacú. We had a great time and hope everyone returns as planned.

Agua Negra

Week 15

Last week we had the chance to fish with five friends from the United States: John and Ryder who visited us for the second time, Bob and Chuck for the first time, and Adam who completed his fifth time fishing in Tsimané. The weather was good with very high temperatures some days, which made fishing in the Sécure complicated since the water was very hot.

The tributaries continued to be the star of the week, giving us the most chances and successful catches, and we even fished very well with mice and dry flies. By the end of the week, we landed more than 10 dorado over 15 Ibs., one 20-Ib. fish, many yatoranas on mice, and also a giant pacú on a dry fly.
