Pluma Lodge

Week 4

29-6 July 2024

The fourth week of the season began with catches around eight and 10 pounds, due to a drop in water temperature. There were many catches of migratory fish. As the days went by the temperature began to rise, leading to the capture of large resident dorado, as well as pacú with fruit imitations.

This week we welcomed clients from Italy, England, and the United States.

Secure

Week 5

28-5 July 2024

Our fifth week started with a cold front which lasted four days. Fishing activity dropped due to the shock in the water temperature and the dorado weren’t sitting in fast water structures.

The lower beat was the most productive in the “cachuelas” section, as a good pack of hungry dorado were smashing sabalo against the banks. Both Maniquicito and Ashahana Creeks gave us good chances as well, with feeding frenzies and dorado in shallow waters.

The last two days of the week brought warmer days and the activity started turning on, as we landed four of the biggest fish of the week including an 18-pounder landed by Michael Domeier.

Agua Negra Lodge

Week 6

28-5 July 2024

In the sixth week of the season we welcomed four friends who came from the USA (even Alaska!) to live the jungle experience. Jordan, Evan, Andrew, and Peter enjoyed an unforgettable week being able to enjoy all our rivers.

The first few days of the week the weather was still cold, but the temperature rose during the week. Angling chances were very good throughout the week both in the main river and the tributaries, where we had many good opportunities and landed five big pacú and some really good dorado.

The last days of the week brought the highest water temperatures, which activated the fish. It was then that we landed and had the greatest chances of the biggest dorado of the week.
