OC San’s infrastructure is responsible for the collection, treatment, and recycling of over 190 million gallons of wastewater generated every single day by 2.6 million people. OC San’s Capital Improvement Program (CIP) is a long-term plan to rehabilitate, replace, and improve our infrastructure and facilities.
OC San’s infrastructure includes nearly 390 miles of regional sewer pipes, 15 pump stations, and two reclamation facilities – all valued at more than $14 billion. In fiscal year 2023-2024, OC San's CIP spending totaled $262.3 million invested in the regional wastewater system.
Ensuring we provide reliable service is the essence of our mission. We must protect public health and the environment, and our CIP allows us to do that.
