Can you believe we are already in April?

For schools and our students, it’s a mad dash to the end of the year while just getting to know each other all over again. As a Foundation, we are also making a dash for the finish line. Right now, our donors are making sure students have the resources they need now and into the summer. We are helping line up summer opportunities for kids in the district to get outside and interact with each other. We are listening to teachers and students alike to hear what their needs are as things continue to open. It’s because of supporters that our students are getting what they need to THRIVE. We’d like to thank Tri-County Heath this month for a grant of $10,000 to keep resource closets stocked this spring!
Our supporters have made it possible to co-sponsor the building of a Tiny House in the Adams 12 Five Star Schools FutureForward Construction program. The trailer and materials arrived this week and students are excited to start on this real-world project that will do in the community. We’ll continue to update you on its progress!
Announcing the Five Star Classic on June 10, 2021! Join us at TopGolf Thornton for swinging summer fun as we highlight student success, network with each other, and celebrate our community partners. More details can be found here.

BOARD MEMBER SPOTLIGHT:

FOUR NEW BOARD MEMBERS RECENTLY JOINED THE FIVE STAR FOUNDATION: Meet Dymonte Thomas

Dymonte Thomas is from the small city of Alliance, Ohio. A graduate of the University of Michigan, he moved to Denver to play three seasons for the Denver Broncos. Loving the area, he decided to call it home. Now working in real estate and opening his own gym, Dymonte is passionate about supporting young adults. His work with the Foundation will focus on youth development and outreach. At home, he spends time with a crazy dog named Louie and is excited to welcome a baby sometime in May.

In partnership with the Foundation, Dymonte will speak at a career lunch webinar for high school students in which Thomas explains how he navigated college and professional football and how he transitioned from pro sports to a business professional. Stay tuned for webinar announcements.
