Fall Fun: Pumpkins, Crafts, and Play
|
Did you know that the Horizons family of students, teachers, and volunteers meets quarterly for fun-filled reunions? To keep kids and families engaged all year long, we host Saturday reunions, special events, and holiday celebrations throughout the school year. Students love to see their teachers and beloved volunteers!
We recently met at the campus of LCDS for some fall-themed crafts, food, and enjoyed the opportunity to catch-up! We were thrilled that our Lancaster Wegmans supported our event with the donation of 10 pizzas! Enjoy some photos from our time together.

Lancaster's largest single-day of giving to support non-profits is on Friday, November 19. Horizons at LCDS is participating again!
Last year, our supporters helped us raise more than $29,000, funding summer of amazing learning opportunities, swim lessons, and meals for our Horizons students.
Thank you to Stadel Motors, Inc. for providing $8,000 in matching donations, and Horizons Board Member Chris Dye and his wife, Mary, for $4,000 in matching funds.
If you or your company are interested in becoming a matching donation sponsor, email Rebecca at fowlerr@lancastercountryday.org.

Thank you to the Royer Family Foundation
|
For the seventh year in a row, the Royer Family Foundation is providing major support to Horizons with a grant of $25,000. When a students enters the Horizons program, we make an nine-year commitment to the student and their family. Given the Royer Family Foundations consistent support, we can confidently extend the Horizons difference to more student and continue to be partners in the ripple effect benefitting children and families in Lancaster.
Thanks to Becky Royer Fuchs, pictured, who was a guest reader for our students over the summer!
