Fishin' for Mission

September 12 - 13

Rockport, Texas

St. Peter's, Rockport, and St. Helena's, Boerne, will host their annual fishing tournament, Fishin' for Mission, benefitting World Missions, on the Texas coast. The cost is $85 per angler and $35 for anglers under age 17. A $10 late fee will be applied after September 5.

The event will include a Silent Auction, Raffle and a BBQ Dinner on Friday, September 12, sponsored by CM Hills BBQ & Catering in Rockport.

The tournament will begin at 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 13. Organizers are looking for volunteers as well as silent auction and raffle items. Contact the Rev. Jim Friedel, Michael Glick or Catherine Markette for more information, to volunteer or to donate an item.

Mustang Island

Make plans to attend the next Cursillo at Mustang Island. Cursillo is patterned on Jesus' own example. He searched out and called groups of potential leaders, trained them and sent them out to the world.

College + Young Adult Mission Trip Travel Award 2025-2026

The Manos de Dios Honduras ministry has been awarded a grant from the diocesan College Missions Council to fund a mission trip Travel Award for 3 College Students/Young Adults in January 2026.

The Rev. Tim Swan has accepted a call to serve as Rector of Grace Church, San Antonio beginning Sunday, August 10. The Diocese of West Texas and Grace Church, San Antonio thank the Rt. Rev. David M. Reed, D.D., 10th Bishop of West Texas, for his faithful service as Interim Rector.
