EP2 INITIATIVE

The $22 million EP2 Initiative will transform Wichita’s west riverbank into a destination oasis capable of drawing 1 million visitors a year. Including a riverfront amphitheater, a Destination Playscape and new education center, the project will elevate Wichita’s status as a regional tourism destination and serve as a catalyst for further economic development. 

BALLPARK DISTRICT



EPC Real Estate’s $110 million investment project will construct a destination hotel, residential units, retail and a supporting parking garage in the lots adjacent to and near Riverfront Stadium. This will serve as a southern anchor to Wichita’s riverfront and further enhance the area’s walkability and connectivity.

TKAAM

The estimated new $6 million Kansas African American Museum will serve as a community space of intersection – one that encourages exploration, self-discovery and immersive cultural engagement. The inclusive center will become a point of pride for Wichitans.

WICHITA BIOMEDICAL CAMPUS

The estimated $302 million Wichita Biomedical Campus, expected to be the largest single investment in downtown's history, will create a healthcare corridor leading to advanced medical care, fostered innovation, and new academic and business partnerships. An additional 3,000 students and 200 faculty and staff will lead to the continued resurgence and vibrancy of downtown. 

PROJECT DOWNTOWN 2035

Project Downtown 2035, a 10-year vision plan, will drive catalytic investment in Wichita’s core. Through action-oriented strategies and research, the plan will cultivate continued public and private sector investment, further the connection of downtown assets and assist in realizing development opportunities to foster an authentic, global city.
