Take some time this week to review your organization's Give Local page so you can concentrate on your donor strategy in the next few weeks. Minor edits can be made at any point, but please log in to your GiveGab account to customize your profile by April 9.
Add logos, photos or other graphics: A picture tells a thousand words! If you don't have a logo, consider using stock images.
Tell your story: Explain how your organization makes an impact using compelling language to motivate donors! Watch video to learn more.
Get Verified: Confused with this section? You're not alone, so please don't worry! The only required item in this section is to add a check mark in the box under state charitable solicitation compliance. It is not necessary to add bank account information or any other information in the "organization information" section.
Add donation levels: Donation levels are not automatically listed on your page unless you add them! We recommend adding 3-5 donation levels and personalizing them as much as possible. Here's a profile from the recent Fairfield County's Giving Day that's done this well and one that could have done more.
Add a thank-you message: If a donor makes a gift to your organization, they will receive your personalized message. If the donor makes gifts to more than one organization in a single transaction, they will receive the standard thank-you email from Connecticut Community Foundation.
Add fundraisers (optional): Add some key supporters as peer-to-peer fundraisers for your organization! They will be able to raise money on your behalf. Watch video to learn more.
Get your Give Local marketing materials
Sread the word! The Foundation has Give Local posters and postcards available for participating nonprofits on a first-come, first-serve basis. Contact Tricia so we can arrange to get you what you need!
Use the Give Local graphics
We can't wait to see all of your Give Local announcements on social media, print newsletters and emails! The logos can be downloaded from the Nonprofit Toolkit page in the "promote" section. Don't forget to also include #GiveLocalGWLH on your social media posts.
