Fix Me, Jesus!!! 2/11/24
Psalm 123:1-4 (KJV)
1Unto thee lift I up mine eyes, O thou that dwellest in the heavens.
2 Behold, as the eyes of servants look unto the hand of their masters, and as the eyes of a maiden unto the hand of her mistress; so our eyes wait upon the LORD our God, until that he have mercy upon us.
3 Have mercy upon us, O LORD, have mercy upon us: for we are exceedingly filled with contempt.
4 Our soul is exceedingly filled with the scorning of those that are at ease, and with the contempt of the proud.
One of my FAVORITE Scriptures is encapsulated in this heart-felt Psalm of David:

What does one do when they have done all they know to do??????

WE must look to Jesus and simply CRY OUT-FIX ME, JESUS, FIX ME!!!

As I prepared for bed last night, my darling wife informed me water leaking from somewhere in the pantry-sho-nuff there was-lots of it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It appears to be a broken hot water heater and the question begs to be answered....
Why does bad stuff and bad news ALWAYS occur on weekends??????????????????
AND, of course, there are no available experts to advise and repair until Monday!!!!
We live in a world that demands instant answers and immediate solutions to our everyday problems.
Sadly/oftentimes there IS/ARE none to be found.
We simply must PRAY and wait AND “look unto the hand of their masters.”

The GREAT news is that WE have ONE Master-THE LORD JESUS CHRIST!!
“SO OUR EYES WAIT UPON THE LORD OUR GOD!!!!!”
Oftentimes, there is no INSTANT solution and so WE must WAIT............................
And, WE DO NOT LIKE WAITING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Our ardent cry is “FIX ME JESUS-FIX ME/IT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
Our WAIT requires a change in OUR plans and WE do not like change-AMEN!!??
AND, for all of us, too often we cannot “FIX” others-including those whom we love the most!!!!
WE can ONLY do what God ordains us to do and in HIS time and timing!!!!!!!!!!!
Jesus declared:
John 15:1-5 (KJV)
1 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
The KEY Verse is:

JESUS IS THE VINE!!!
WE ARE MERELY THE BRANCH AND TRULY MERELY!!
