Have you noticed all the finger pointing that's going on in Washington by the politicians.

These people remind me of very badly behaving, very spoiled children.

Total clowns without the makeup.

How do we get those who are "duly elected" to focus on fixing the problems and not the blame so that our country continues to be a world leader?

How do we impress upon them that arguing is not a solution to even the most complex issues facing our great nation?

Come share your ideas and opinions with us at breakfast Wednesday morning.

I need not remind you that you will please leave your arguments, pointing fingers and any negative attitudes at the door.

We'll make a list of items to be fixed and send it to Washington from "we, the people."

To have your issues be included, just show up on the 14th.

Fix the problem, not the blame.

On This Day In History - August 14th
1040
Scotland's king, Duncan I, is slain as he leads an expedition into his rival's land. That rival is also his cousin, Macbeth, and when Duncan dies Macbeth takes the throne. Centuries later, this will inspire an English writer to pen an exaggerated tale, and those battling Scots will not be forgotten.
1880
Its foundation stone laid almost exactly 632 years before, a soaring masterpiece of Gothic architecture gets its final touches and the Cologne Cathedral is officially completed. The mostly medieval structure will withstand two world wars and the foot traffic of tourists by the millions.
1945
President Harry Truman announces Japan's acceptance of Allied surrender terms, and celebrations erupt across the US and around the world, including in Manhattan's Times Square where a photographer captures one very pucker-happy sailor and a nurse clad all in white
1975
A low-budget homage to the kitschy charms of B-grade sci-fi and horror movies premieres in London, and will have its US debut a month later, but it won't make much of a splash either critically or commercially at first. Nevertheless, ' The Rocky Horror Picture Show' won't remain obscure for long, becoming a cult classic and midnight-movie mainstay.

Since 1983!
A not-for-profit cooperative association of independent businesses, founded from an economic development research project on the
importance of small business development conducted by the
Houston Chamber of Commerce in the late 1970's.

With our first Co-Op meeting held March 14, 1983, to date we've worked with 65,584
people, generating 44,291 tips, leads, referrals and items of new business, generating revenues exceeding one billion dollars, founded the Entrepreneurial Development Center - Houston's first and Texas' oldest small business incubator and co-working space, First Houston Small Business Seed Capital Fund - literally the first small business seed capital fund in Houston, the Womens Business Center - first business incubator for women business owners in the country with residency space and the Virtual Business Center - the first remote business incubator in the world - all totally without public funding, grants, gifts, donations or contributions.

Co-Op companies have won virtually every award for business growth in Houston, some nationally and some even internationally.

Our Entrepreneurial Research Division conclusively demonstrated "entrepreneurship" could be taught in a classroom environment, resulting in colleges and universities, globally,
commencing entrepreneurial courses.
