The American flag represents us in good times and bad. Think of Buzz Aldrin saluting the flag on the moon or New York firefighters hoisting the flag at Ground Zero after 9/11. This has been a difficult year for our country, but flying the flag can be a symbol of hope that we will get through this, just like Americans who came before us.
Join The American Legion Family in proudly flying the U.S. flag Sunday, June 14, for Flag Day. ALA units and Legion posts across the country will also conduct proper flag-collection and retirement ceremonies, host flag education sessions, and encourage all Americans to fly their U.S. flag this day and throughout the year. ALA Girls State and ALA Girls Nation pictures and videos wanted

We want to see pictures of 2020 high school graduates who attended ALA Girls State/Nation in their cap and gown. Submit your pictures to
[email protected] by June 18. Be sure to include your name, program, and date you attended.
We're also seeking short videos from all ALA Girls State and ALA Girls Nation alumnae. Submit a video about your experiences with the program.

for you to use. The video can be shown at meetings, posted on social media, or on your website. The printed version can be framed in your post home, printed in a newsletter, or distributed at a meeting. You don’t have to limit yourself to these options. Be creative and share where you see fit.
