FAIRFAX, VA – Drivers are advised that flagging operations are scheduled to be in effect on Old Dominion Drive near I-495 (Capital Beltway) from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays, beginning Thursday, Oct. 2 through Friday, Oct. 24. Flagging operations are needed for crews to perform milling and paving work on Old Dominion Drive and to complete the driveway connection at Old Dominion Drive and Dominion Court. When construction is active, flaggers will direct one-way traffic in alternating directions on Old Dominion Drive between Old Gate Court and Dulany Drive.

This work is necessary for I-495 Express Lanes Northern Extension (495 NEXT) crews to complete final paving of Old Dominion Drive. 

Drivers are urged to use caution and expect potential delays if traveling through this area. 

In the event of inclement weather or other delays, this work may be rescheduled or prolonged.
