For women and their children in crisis:
Counseling by phone and access to online support is available for women: please call
Flamborough Women's Resource Centre at 289-895-8580
The global pandemic is impacting all of us everyday instilling fear, increasing isolation, reshaping what we do, how we do it, etc. For women with or without children who experience abuse, violence, human trafficking or trauma, it is exceptionally difficult. Home may not be the safest place to be.

If you, a family member, a friend or someone you know is experiencing family crisis, help is only a phone call away. It may be the most important phone call you make. Please read below and don’t be afraid, we are here to help you.

The Flamborough Women's Resource Centre (FWRC) located in Waterdown is a satellite location of Interval House. Councillor Partridge and staff at FWRC wants all women to know that services are still there for them. In responding to government directives and call to action from the Chief Public Health Officer, we are working hard to protect women and children in crisis to ensure access to their services. Please call 289 895 8580 for support.

Please know, Women’s Shelters are still supporting women across Hamilton who need to access an emergency shelter. Crisis lines are available 24 hours for women to access. A quick reference of local support services is below.

Please keep safe and protect yourselves.

Kind Regards
