| | FPM is a lifeline for newcomers and residents alike for over four decades. As an organization, they remain committed to breaking down barriers to connection and food security through their programming and the support of their committed volunteers. “We’ve been operating at full capacity for some time now,” says Maria Reolin, Executive Director of FPM. “This move will help us expand our services and support more people in need. With bigger classes, more diverse programs and a more welcoming, dignified environment, our community members will be able to achieve their dreams, and become more empowered, confident members of the community.” This Summer, FPM received a grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation to help renovate its new space. Over the coming year, these renovations will transform the facility, allowing FPM to expand its offerings. Once completed, FPM plans to introduce larger English language conversation classes, a dedicated prep kitchen for cooking classes, and ample meeting spaces to host multiple programs at once.
