*UPDATED* FGC Safety Plan
Please review our Safety Plan with changes that have
been implemented as of December 5th 2020.

Our Return to Sport Plan is based on current public health guidance. While we are all doing our best to minimize the risk of exposure to COVID-19, while the virus circulates in our communities it is impossible to completely eliminate the risk. Each participant must make their own decision as to whether it is in their best interest to resume participation at this time. As such, you must consider your own circumstances and make a decision that is right for you. Should you choose to join us, we require your full cooperation with our COVID-19 Safety Plan.
  • Masks are required upon entering, exiting and using the washroom.

  • Athletes must come to class with a bag to carry personal belongings, a full water bottle and yoga mat; access to the cubby area is not permitted at this time.

  • Please make sure to read through our safety plan.
2021 Training Schedule

Regular training resumes Monday January 4th, 2021

NO training these days:

  • Family Day - Monday February 15th
  • Spring Break - March 14 - 21 (training resumes March 22)
  • Victoria Day - Monday May 24th

The Xcel and Interclub Training schedule will tentatively run until July 3rd, 2021
Coaching Changes

Coach Alessia is no longer coaching this year due to her recent relocation to Whistler.
Coach Christina has taken over for Coach Alessia and is working with a number of the Interclub and Xcel groups. 

Coach Tanya has also had to depart from coaching Interclub and Xcel teams as she has had a new school schedule come out for the rest of the year.
Coach Cassia who has coached with Interclub for the past couple of years will be taking over coaching Interclub groups 1-3 for the rest of the year!

Please ensure you bring these items EVERY training day: 

  • Mask - Please have your child wear a mask into and out of the gym. It will also be used when going to the washroom as the Rec Centre requires everyone to wear masks. 

  • Water bottle - we do not have access to the water fountain, so you MUST send a water bottle (or two) with your child! 

  • Yoga mat (for warmup and snack and some event use)

  • Socks (to be worn as much as possible unless they become a safety hazard)

  • Hair MUST be tied back properly (competition style hair), meaning you must clip back any bangs or hair that does not collect into a ponytail/bun/braid. This is to try and eliminate athletes touching their face by pulling their hair away from their eyes. It is also for their safety so they aren't distracted by their hair or pulling it away from their face during a skill. 

  • *Snack (Only if your daughter is training for 3hrs, she will receive a 10min break) - Xcel Gold Groups ONLY

  • Chalk (Athletes must buy their own chalk if they are participating on bars and must bring this with them to training each day. Chalk can be purchased from the office and charged to your account for $3, which also includes a baggie to put the chalk in)

Please ensure your child wears a leotard to training. Shorts or tight-fitting pants are also okay to wear over top during event training.

If your daughter has asked about grips for the uneven bars, please ensure you speak with Holly before purchasing them. These are not required and are only recommended at a certain level.
