What do you get when you take a "light sport aircraft" (LSA) bush plane and put more than 180-hp on the nose? You get a machine that is ready to take on the world—a world of short strips, sandbars, and mountain meadows. Starting with the proven STOL CH 750 aircraft, Zenith Aircraft Company lengthened the wings, enlarged the tail, beefed up a few things here and there (including the landing gear!) — and created the new model called the Super Duty (SD) STOL aircraft. Think of a real pickup truck, not one of those fancy "city" versions. We’re talking about something that you can throw the tools into and go running off the landscape to patch a hole in the fence. The CH 750 Super Duty is that kind of machine, with the muscle to get you there and back.

Introduced at EAA Oshkosh AirVenture in 2017, the STOL CH 750 Super Duty was a surprise to almost everyone that walked up to it. Zenith did a good job of keeping the project under wraps until they were ready for the big reveal, and it was a surprise in more ways than one. Not only did it sport the big engine (200-hp) and a third seat (rear jump seat) and sit on large tundra tires, it also introduced a very unique innovation — the “Un-panel.” This out-of-the-box concept does away with the traditional instrument panel, substituting instead a large single glass-panel display mounted on a moveable arm so that it can be positioned in front of either the pilot or passenger, or moved out of the way of both. This isn’t just getting rid of instruments; it does away with the entire instrument panel structure, a very unusual idea that maximizes both space in the cabin and visibility.

Zenith Aircraft Company is continually updating its kits to make them easier to build, and the CH 750 Super Duty is the easiest to build yet! Almost every hole in the kit is already drilled to its final size. This minimizes marking, measuring, and drilling, and lets you focus on the fun of seeing the airplane come together before your eyes. The proven blind rivets are the primary fasteners used in the kit. They are extremely simple to set; anyone can learn how in five minutes or less. Putting together the airframe kit takes the average builder just a few hundred hours.
