Flint Hills Military History Symposium Alliance and Coalition Warfare - Enduring Challenges in Multinational CampaignsSeptember 25-27, 2026

Greetings!

Once again, the Flint Hills Military History Symposium is proud to partner with the Dwight D. Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum in Abilene, Kansas.

As part of our "shutdown-proof" opening day on September 25, attendees will enjoy a special visit to this historic site. The program includes a behind-the-scenes tour of the Eisenhower Presidential Library, an opportunity to view rarely seen artifacts, two engaging academic panels, and a private reception generously hosted by the Friends of the Eisenhower Foundation.

This unique experience offers participants the chance to walk in Ike's footsteps, gain deeper insight into his remarkable career, and reflect on the enduring lessons of his leadership. As Supreme Allied Commander during World War II, Eisenhower excelled at bringing together diverse nations, military organizations, and political leaders in pursuit of a common objective. His success in managing complex alliances and coalition warfare remains highly relevant to the symposium's exploration of multinational military cooperation.

Limited round-trip bus transportation from Manhattan will be available, making this memorable and enriching experience both convenient and accessible.
