Greetings!
Kansas State University and the Dwight D. Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum are partnering again to present the 3rd Annual Flint Hills Military History Symposium. Last year's symposium was a resounding success in spite of the government shutdown causing us to move our Friday venue from Abilene to the K-State Hale Library. This year's theme is “Alliance & Coalition Warfare - Enduring Challenges in Multinational Campaigns". We will explore persistent issues including mismatched capabilities, divergent national priorities, command complexities, burden-sharing disputes, and the difficulty of achieving consensus across varied military cultures and political motivations.
Our Symposium intent is to provide historians, military professionals, interdisciplinary academics, students and our community with the opportunity to network and share scholarship in a more focused setting. We cordially invite you to join us at the Flint Hills Military History Symposium this September 25 - 27, 2026.
