Flip the Pharmacy Change Package

Opioid Progression
An Opioid Pledge

During July 2022, we are focusing on providing each patient receiving an opioid prescription with an Opioid Pledge. Within this month’s Change Package, you can download the editable document to make specific changes within your pharmacy and begin providing the Opioid Pledge to your patients. We understand this workflow implementation requires quite a bit of thought and planning. Please view within the Change Package how other pharmacies have implemented the Opioid Pledge.

Upon further discussion with the patient and a review of her prescription history, Ashley learned that the patient had recently adopted two foster children, one of which was a newborn. As she acclimated to her new role as a caregiver, the patient admitted to neglecting her own health and allowing her A1C to creep upwards.

Special thanks to RxSafe for helping tell Ashley's story and for sponsoring Flip the Pharmacy.
