Floating Holidays  
TLC is adding two floating holidays to our current schedule! This allows employees of all faiths and backgrounds the opportunity to observe holidays and practices that are important to them. You can use floating holidays for any reason, as long as you request the day during the open request period. During June, go to Paycom to pick your floating holiday for 2023. You’ll find it in the same place you request your PTO. During January 2024, two more days will be available to be requested for next year. When you take the floating holiday, use the Floating Holiday code on your timesheet in BST (13).  

This addition was a direct response to comments made during your employee survey. Thank you for your suggestions on how to keep TLC one of the best firms to work for!

The full TLC holiday schedule is below:  

  • New Year's Day                      
  • Memorial Day            
  • Independence Day  
  • Labor Day                   
  • Thanksgiving Day 
  • Day after Thanksgiving 
  • Christmas Day 
  • Two Floating Holidays (1 day in 2023; 2 days in 2024)

Your 2023 floating holiday must be requested during June. In January 2024, all employees will be able to request their two floating holidays for the year. Floating holidays will not be carried over to the next calendar year, nor may they be cashed out if not taken or paid upon termination of employment, except where required by law. Regular full-time and regular part-time employees are eligible for holiday pay, provided they are employed on the day before and the day after the holiday and are not on a leave of absence.
