Under 75 Years Old? Renew Your License at Fremont Township
|
|
Please note Seniors 75 and over must go to the DMV because they need a road test.

For your convenience, Fremont Township is hosting a Mobile Drivers License Renewal on July 19 with Secretary of State Jesse White's office. In order to renew your license or State ID at this event, your license or ID must be expiring within one year of July 19, 2018. (July 18th birthdate is the latest) Seniors can get a state ID for free.

Water Testing Kits For Those On Wells
|
|
We currently have water testing kits available for those of you on wells. The Health Department recommends you test your water after the well inundation subsides. Executive Director Mark Pfister informed me that if you are impacted by the flood, there will be no charge for the test. You will need to take the sample to the Lake County Health Department in Libertyville.

Tips To Prevent Mosquito Breeding
|
|
• Discard old tires, buckets, drums or any water holding containers. • Poke holes in tires used as swings or bumpers on docks. • Keep roof gutters and downspouts clear of debris. • Keep trash containers covered. • Empty plastic wading pools at least once a week and store indoors when not in use. • Drain unused swimming pools. • Fill in tree rot holes and hollow stumps that hold water. • Change the water in bird baths and plant urns at least once a week. • Store boats upside down or drain rainwater weekly. • Lake County residents can also report areas of stagnant water to the health department's Mosquito Surveillance Program by calling the West Nile virus hotline: 847-377-8300.

Take Charge Of Your Diabetes

The Department on Aging is presenting this program on Taking Charge of Your Diabetes. You will Meet at Fremont Township on Wednesdays from July 26 thru August 30 from 9:30 am til noon. Regent Center to Close For Remodeling
|
|
The Regent Center will be closed from July 23 - Aug.6th for some remodeling. The main room will be repainted and new flooring will be installed.
|

The Mundelein Farmers Market will be held on Fridays from 3-7 p.m., June 16 through October 6, in the Santa Maria del Popolo Church parking lot on Highway Route 45. The MCC expects to have about 30-35 vendors each week, there will be a featured local business and non-profit group each week. Click here to see the vendors.

August 20 is the Grand Dominion Car Show Benefiting the Fremont Township Food Pantry

Every year the wonderful volunteers at Grand Dominion, led by Bob Giles, host a car show to benefit the Fremont Township Food Pantry. Mark your calendar for August 20 from 11 am til 3 pm. This is a don't miss event! These volunteers are neighbors helping neighbors and this event is incredible!!!!

Fremont Township Food Pantry Accepts Ensure Too!

As you know, Fremont Township has a food pantry that is run by donations from our community. We also have home bound seniors who we deliver to that are in need of ensure. If you are no longer in need of ensure, we are happy to accept it.

We accept diaper donations for children and adults. If you have diapers you are no longer in need of, please consider donating them to Fremont Township. We do accept open bags.

Did you know 85 percent of clothing ends up in the landfill? Bring your new, gently used, and used clothing to be reused or recycled.

Fremont Township recycles shoes year round. You will find a bin on our front porch. If you are disposing of shoes that have laces, please tie the laces together.
We also accept eyeglasses hearing aids and yarn.
