We did it - We saved Park Rill Foodplain
With the help of land owners who treasure nature and donations from conservation-minded individuals, foundations and government, Park Rill Floodplain has been saved. This 61 hectare (151 acre) property will be added to the White Lake Basin Biodiversity Ranch conservation complex in the South Okanagan.

The native grasslands of the South Okanagan are a hotspot for biodiversity, hosting a huge number of BC’s at-risk species. Grasslands are also one of the rarest land cover types in BC covering less than 1% of BC’s land base, with few intact swaths of open plains remaining.
This parcel provides habit for Nuttall’s Cottontail, the Great Basin Spadefood toad, Peregrine Falcon and many species of rare plants. Together we have left a lasting legacy for generations to come.

Our Field Crews Have Been Hard at Work
This month our Lower Mainland field crew joined forces with the Pitt Waterfowlers to clean and repair nesting boxes at Addington Point Marsh. Check out the story here.

In the Okanagan, our field crew took part in The Southern Interior Mule Deer Project, by finding and collaring fawns to help gather data on why the deer population has been declining. Find out more...
