Best Week Ever

The Excelsior Springs Health Care Foundation is having the Best Week Ever after a stellar golf tournament Friday! Not only did they have a whopping 21 teams, they also held the 2nd Annual Golf Ball Drop that was a ton of fun!


Monies raised from the tournament will go to benefit the Excelsior Springs Hospital.

The Excelsior Springs Museum and Archives will be holding an Excelsior Springs Genealogical Society's reception in honor of Million-Finley founding family that played a key role in the discovery of the mineral springs upon which Excelsior was founded. The event will be Saturday, June 11th at 1:00pm at the Museum downtown.

Vietnam Veteran, Darryl Couts Selected for Honor Flight

Excelsior citizen, Vietnam Veteran, and all-around good guy, Darryl Couts was recently recognized for his military service with an “Honor Flight” to Washington DC along with a number of other Kansas City area veterans.

Floodwaters on the Rise with More Rain Expected

Up to 2.5 inches of rain fell on Excelsior Springs Monday night and Tuesday morning forcing many creeks and streams to overflow. Find information relating to the Fishing River Watershed Study underway for the downtown.

Two Excelsior Springs Farmer's Markets Open on Wednesdays

On Wednesday two farmer’s markets opened in Excelsior Springs, one in the morning on the west side of town and another in the evening in the downtown. Both groups are hoping that by working at offset times on the same day, it will make it easier for residents to attend whichever works better for their schedule.

Weekly Dementia Support Group

Free weekly dementia support group will be beginning Sunday evening, June 12, 2022, from 6:00pm-7:30pm, at Barbee Presbyterian Church, 501 Tiger Dr.


This class is being offered by Sharon Senger as a way to offer education for caregivers in providing quality to their lives and peace to the caregivers.
