The Booster Blast
From The Editors:

Booster HQ is abuzz with activity with the holidays upon us. It seems like just yesterday we were dumping sand from our shoes.

The Snack Shack is closed for the winter, but sales of refreshments and branded merchandise will continue at all home games this Winter sports season. Swing by and say hello!
'Take 5' with Coach Reem
Get to know Coach  Shireem ‘Reem’ Cobb  -Head Coach JV Basketball, Assistant Coach Varsity Football

Q: Favorite sport? Second favorite?

A: Football is my favorite sport with basketball a close second.

Q: Favorite movie?

A: ‘When The Game Stands Tall’ is my favorite movie right now. It’s the story of California high school football coach, Bob Ladouceur, who lead his team from obscurity to a 151- game  winning streak that shattered all records for any American sport.

Q: Where would you live if you could live anywhere?

A: That’s a question I don’t spend much time thinking about. I am very invested in staying local and making a difference in the area where I grew up. If I had to choose, I’d choose California…it’s like New York with better weather.

Q: Favorite food? Least favorite food?

A: My favorite food depends on the day…it’s either Penne alla Vodka or “Dom’s chicken fingers” from Dominick’s deli in New Hyde Park. My least favorite food is…tomatoes.

Q: Last book you read?

A: I just read ‘Above the Line’ by Urban Meyer, football coach of The Ohio State Buckeyes

Holiday Boutique - December 12th
Mark your calendars! The PTSA is hosting a Holiday Boutique on December 12th in the library before, during, and after The Winter Concert.

The Booster Club has taken a table to sell FPM branded clothing and accessories to help make the season bright…see examples below. We will also be selling "Booster Bucks" - a $10 gift card that can be used at the Snack Shack! It's an easy way to let the kids grab a snack after school/before practice. Plus, buy a chance to win a jaw-dropping Booster Holiday Basket!

Your FPM apparel orders from the last online store will be available for pickup at The Booster table.
Booster Park
Eagle Scout candidate David Talero completed his Eagle Scout project…a brick patio behind FPM, and it’s beautiful!

Booster Park will be christened this Spring. The Booster Club has gotten behind developing David’s patio into a destination that FPM students can sit, talk, snack, study or just pass time.

The Boosterz look forward to providing opportunities for members of the FPM community to leave their mark in the form of an engraved brick or by donating outdoor furniture.

Keep your eyes peeled for information on ordering an engraved brick or donating a piece of furniture.

The Season of Giving

The FPM Booster Club encourages you to give generously this holiday season.
See below for a link to support the PTSA's effort in adopting a family at Belmont this holiday season.
Another way to give this holiday season is by attending a Family Holiday Shopping Day at Barnes and Noble on Tuesday, December 11th . All proceeds will be donated to FPM Student Activities and Reason2Smile, a nonprofit organization that provides education opportunities for children attending the Jambo Jipya School in Kenya. Ms. Donna Rosemblum, former FPM librarian, is an active member of this organization and together, they have decided to host the very first Family Holiday Shopping Day!

FPM Varsity Fall Sports Highlight Video

The Booster Club underwrites game films for varsity sports for training and recruiting.
Coaches are given the opportunity to have their games filmed for training purposes and often the players edit those films to create their own highlight films for college recruitment.
The Booster Club asked Varsity Media to create a highlight film for the just completed Fall season.
Check out the final cut…we’re pretty sure you’ll see some familiar faces!
