Florida Needs Our Help!

Help Expose Amendment 4!

Dear Benjamin,

Our neighbors in Florida need our help!

On November 5th, voters in Florida will consider Amendment 4, a radical measure that would legalize abortion up until birth. If approved by voters, Amendment 4 will threaten not only the lives of babies in Florida, but those in Louisiana and across the Gulf Coast.

The Florida Agency for Healthcare Administration reported that in 2023, Louisiana residents made up 15% of their out-of-state abortions, indicating that about 1,200 women traveled across state lines to end the life of their baby.

This is why we have launched our Stand with Florida Campaign to help raise funds to help Florida defend life and expose Amendment 4. Every donation you make will be dedicated to help Florida stand for life!

On our Stand with Florida site, you can also sign up to volunteer and make phone calls to Florida voters.

In 2020, Louisiana Right to Life initiated the Love Life Amendment campaign, to protect Louisiana from a measure similar to Amendment 4 from coming to our state. But since the reversal of Roe v. Wade, the abortion industry has set their sights on constitutional amendments to advance abortion in pro-life states like Kansas, Ohio, and now Florida.

In Ohio and in Kansas, abortion proponents were successful, but we can't standby and watch as they target our neighbors. National polling has never indicated that Americans support measures like Amendment 4 that permit abortion during all nine months of pregnancy and for any reason.

VIDEO: Pregnancy & Miscarriage

It is exceedingly grievous when a woman experiences a miscarriage. On August 19th, we all heard the tragic experience of Louisiana resident Kaitlyn Joshua at the Democratic National Convention. There she shared that she received substandard healthcare at Baton Rouge medical facilities. Joshua was informed she could not receive miscarriage treatment because of Louisiana's pro-life law that took effect after the reversal of Roe vs. Wade in June of 2022.

Louisiana Right to Life released a statement in response addressing the misinformation about our pro-life laws. Our Louisiana Black Advocates for Life Director, Tara Wicker, also wanted to respond by sharing her experience with miscarriage, abortion, and pregnancy.
