Florida’s $328M Sanibel Causeway Restoration Completed


The $328 million Sanibel Causeway restoration project has reached substantial completion, returning a 3-mile part of the critical connection from Sanibel Island to mainland Florida, according to a May 20 release from the project team.

NAPA Update On Chlorinated Solvents Ban Timeline


The Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) outright ban on chlorinated solvents continues to be under review and in litigation. Currently, EPA’s extension of its TCE Risk Management Rule implementation, until June 20, will also extend initial TCE monitoring requirements until Sept. 14.

Federal DBE Requirements Shifting


The U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) has begun implementing a court-mandated overhaul of its Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) program after a federal judge issued a preliminary injunction limiting the use of race- and gender-based goals.
