SEE WHAT WE'VE BEEN UP TO!

Dear FAPE Members,

I know we can feel helpless when we hear of yet another tragedy in our state. This year has been overwhelming.
When we meet real tragedy in life, we can react in two ways-either by losing hope and falling into self-destructive habits or by using the challenge to find our inner strength.
I encourage FAPE to find your inner strength, be the leader of your school community not by words but by action. A simple task of a smile, a simple acknowledgment of a wave, a simple greeting of "How are you?" a simple recognition of "Great Job!" I am proud of FAPE and all of our members; working together, we can make a difference in Florida. No more tragedies, only success ahead!
Sincerely,
Misa Mills
FAPE President

Congratulations to the 2017/2018 Florida Outstanding School Volunteers!

The State of Florida and our members recognize the contribution volunteers have on the academic achievement of students and their assistance in helping schools create positive learning environments. Their commitment to serving as school volunteers has made a significant difference in the lives of many children in our state.

Research show that school volunteers play an integral role in enhancing student achievement and school improvement. The Florida Department of Education and FAPE is committed to supporting the continued success of Florida's students by encouraging volunteerism. In the 2017-2018 school year, over 562,000 volunteers contributed more than 15 million hours mobilizing community resources to support schools as well as mentoring and tutoring students. Click on the link to  Read More about the State winners and their contribution to student academic achievement.
