The Florida Department of Health (FDOH) has issued a swimming advisory in the beach waters adjacent to 73 Street and 53 Street.
This advisory recommends not swimming at these locations at this time. The result of the sampling indicates that water contact may pose an increased risk of illness, particularly for susceptible individuals.
Signage will be posted at public waterway access locations and the city is working closely with all governmental regulatory agencies to protect public health and the environment. The advisory will be lifted when the results of water testing return to an acceptable range for two consecutive days.
