FFCR's CRP Program Ensures 7 Siblings Receive Critical Services
The seven Jacobs* sibling were removed from their parents due to allegations of domestic violence, inadequate supervision, and the mother's substance abuse issues.
From July 13 - 16th FFCR's Training & Outreach Manager, Marissa Leichter, participated in Florida Youth SHINE's quarterly meeting at the Hampton Inn in Plantation, Florida. Florida Youth SHINE (Striving High for INdependence and Empowerment) is a youth run, peer driven organization that empowers current and former foster youth to become leaders and advocates within their communities. New Case Managers Benefit from FFCR's Expertise
Our Kids' new case manager 11-week pre-service trainings are conducted four times a year. Our Kids trained approximately 70 new case managers in the past fiscal year. Once a case manager completes the training, he/she becomes certified to manage his/her own cases without supervision.
