Marion County, FL. December 19 - Marion County Supervisor of Elections, Wesley Wilcox, CERA is proud to offer local qualified college and university students an opportunity to be awarded one of three $1,200 scholarships from the Florida Supervisors of Elections (FSE).
Students who apply must be either a Political Science, Public/Business Administration, or Journalism/Mass Communication major. The FSE Scholarship guidelines and application are available online at VoteMarion.com/Scholarship and in person at the Marion County Election Center, 981 NE 16th Street, Ocala.
Applications must be submitted by February 28, 2020. Each of the 67 county Supervisors will interview and select a finalist to be considered by the FSE Scholarship Committee. The winners will be announced and recognized at the FSE Summer Conference in May 2020.
The three scholarships are presented in memory of former Supervisors of Elections Dorothy Ruggles of Pinellas County, Joe Oldmixon of Escambia County and Jimmy Whitehouse of Highlands County.
The Florida Supervisors of Elections (FSE) is a professional membership organization representing the Supervisors of Elections of Florida’s 67 counties. Their goal is to support fair, honest and accurate elections in the state of Florida. Supervisor Wilcox is Vice President of the association.
