Amy Keith is Common Cause’s Executive Director for Florida. She leads the organization’s work to create open, accountable government in the Sunshine State and empower all Floridians to make their voices heard in the political process. She also co-leads the Florida Election Protection Coalition, which brings together over 30 local, state and national partners to help ensure all eligible Florida voters can cast their ballot and have it counted – in every election. Amy has over two decades of domestic and international nonprofit management, advocacy and coalition-building experience. Amy holds a Master of Public Administration from Columbia University and a BA in Philosophy from Bates College. Learn More about Common Cause Florida.



Bob Schaeffer of Public Policy Communications has consulted for progressive causes, candidates, foundations, and socially responsible businesses for more than four decades. In Massachusetts, he was Research Director for the state legislature's Human Services Committee, editorial writer at the NBC-TV Boston affiliate, and talk show host/political commentator at a regional NPR affiliate. After moving to Florida in 1999, he organized the state civic engagement table, served as its coordinator for 6 years, and currently serves as President of FairDistricts Now, Treasurer of the Progressive Florida Education Institute, and is a director of Floridians for Democracy. Bob is the co-author of the political campaign handbook, Winning Local and State Elections (Simon & Schuster) and "Giving the Media Your Message." He attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) as both an undergraduate and graduate student, then worked for the school's Education Research Center.
