THE CASE FOR EMOTIONAL REPARATIONS

By Enola G. Aird, CHN Founder and President
Any serious conversation about reparations must begin with a deep and broad appreciation of the dynamics of enslavement, Jim Crow, and colonization. It’s one thing to condemn the past as a “crime against humanity," it’s something else to try to appreciate and then calculate the full extent of the damage. The issue is much bigger than the trillions of dollars owed for the multi-generational financial damage inflicted upon people of African ancestry. Read more...

Community Healing Network is working to create a new culture of emotional emancipation, healing, wellness, and empowerment in families and neighborhoods on the African continent and across the Diaspora.

We are on the road, with the Association of Black Psychologists, to make 2019 the year in which we, people of African ancestry, draw the line between a past shaped by the lie of Black inferiority and a future defined by the truth of Black humanity. We want the global Black community to walk boldly into the year 2020 with a more perfect vision of ourselves––a vision focused on the truth of our humanity.

Our 2018-2020 Global Truth Campaign and Tour is designed to make 2019 a pivotal year for dramatically increasing the number of people of African ancestry on the journey toward emotional emancipation.

Join us at any of our next stops on the Truth Tour. And stay tuned for updates to the Tour schedule.

Defy the Lie of Black Inferiority In Order to Embrace the Truth of Black Humanity
Join us. Take the pledge to Defy the Lie of Black Inferiority and Embrace the Truth of Black Humanity.
Each pledge will make us stronger as a global African community.

Taking the pledge will make you part of a growing global culture of resistance that is standing up to—and that will ultimately extinguish—the lie.
Your donation to CHN's All Black Children Flourishing Fund
will help us:

  1. Support our 2018-2020 Global Truth Campaign and Tour;
  2. Train 700 additional Emotional Emancipation (EE) Circle Facilitators; and
  3. Build a global online community to connect, support, and empower EE Circle Facilitators and other local leaders to act as catalysts for healing and wellness.

Help us create a culture of emotional emancipation, healing, wellness, and empowerment in families and neighborhoods across the African Diaspora– so that Black children everywhere can move beyond surviving to flourishing.
